I am no longer travelling on this flight because I am already in Spain but my boyfriend is still traveling on it. Madrid is a great starting point to explore Spain and even Europe. You could fly back from Barcelona or Paris with dirt cheap Ryanair or if you return from same location flights are around 85-150+baggage. If you are on a budget you will find nice and cheap accommodation at airbnb.com (we are staying in nice flat with own balcony for €28 for both of us!)
