Ideal to avoid expensive train fares and as hotel vacancies in Manchester are now extremely low (friends going on the friday were only able to get a hotel at Manchester Airport). Tickets have arrived but are not yet in-hand (was in the process of moving when purchased so had them sent to my parents house). Hope to have them in-hand this weekend.
